Based in Boston, MA., Viridiana began her musical studies from an early age, participating in numerous Mexican youth orchestras for many years. In 2006, 2007, and 2009, she took part in the Mexican Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSIM), joining them for tours throughout the Mexican Republic.

In the summer of 2016, she was selected as a member of the Estanislao Mejía Symphony Orchestra from the University of Music-UNAM to participate in the Young Euro Classic Festival held in Berlin, Germany. There, she performed concerts in the Nezahualcóyotl Hall, “Biblioteca México,” and in Berlin’s Konzerthaus. These concerts were conducted by Sergio Cárdenas. During this time in 2016, Viridiana also joined as a member of the Symphony of Michoacán (OSIDEM) from 2016 to 2017.
 

While living in Morelia, México, Viridiana joined as a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Michoacan from 2016-2021. She was a founding member and Associated Concertmaster of the Chamber Orchestra of Tzintzuni from 2020-2021, and was selected to participate for two consecutive years (2017-2018) in the “Academia Cervantina,” offering concerts during the XLV and XLVI International Cervantino Festival in Guanajuato City under the guidance of Marco Fusi and with the Meitar Ensamble, the ensemble in residence.
 

During her undergraduate degree at the Conservatorio de las Rosas, under the tutelage of Julián Martínez and Gellya Dubrova, Viridiana was concertmaster and associated concertmaster of the Conservatorio from 2015 to 2019. She has performed as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of the National Conservatory, Chamber Orchestra of the University of Michoacán (OCUM), San Luis Potosí Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the Conservatorio de las Rosas, and the Orquesta de Cámara del Tzintzuni, performing in halls such as the Manuel M. Ponce Hall (Palacio de Bellas Artes), Teatro de la Paz, Centro Cultural Universitario UMSNH, and in the Niños Cantores Hall in México.

Viridiana has participated in numerous international music festivals such as the Portillo International Music Festival (Chile), V International Music Festival of Esmeraldas (Ecuador), International Music Festival of UCR (Costa Rica), Sinfonietta Music Festival (Mexico), Iberacademy-Mozart Festival (Colombia), and the Azteca National Orchestra (Mexico). She has taken masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Cho-Liang Lin, Elena Urioste, Jonathan Crow, Timothy Chooi, the American String Quartet, Marco Fusi, Eldjørg Hemsing, Danielle Belen, Sarita Kwok, among others.
 

Viridiana was a fellow of the Orchestra of the Americas / OAcademy in 2021, joining Nikki Chooi’s violin studio class. In this period, she took part in the recording of “Codex Mexica,” the multi-sensory retelling of a five-hundred-year old tale, recording with cellist Yo-Yo Ma, composer Cris MarYan, violinist Johnny Gandelsman, and OAcademy fellows from 20+ countries in the Americas. 

 

She has collaborated with ensembles and orchestras including the Syracuse Orchestra (Syracuse, New York), Richmond Symphony Orchestra (Richmond, VA), The Boston Modern Orchestra Project - BMOP, Eureka Ensemble (Boston, MA), Tzintzuni Orchestra (Morelia, Mexico), and the Hollywood Film Orchestra, with performances at prestigious venues including the Carnegie Hall in New York City, at the Massachusetts State House, Harvard University, the Huntington Theater, Bosch Center, and the TD Garden in Boston where she joined Andrea Bocelli's orchestra for his Holiday Tour 2025.​

Passionate about teaching, and with more than 9 years of experience, her role as an educator is to support and empower the unique voices of her students by creating an environment of kindness, discipline, and love for the arts, offering bilingual lesson (Spanish and English) in the Boston area and in México. She currently serves on the Strings Faculty at Dana Hall School where she also directs the Middle School String Ensemble "String Sisters", and the 5/6 String Ensemble, at the Marblehead School of Music, and at Centre Music House. She has also been awarded with a Teaching Assistantship position during her time at Longy, teaching at Brookline High School, and Boston String Academy.

Viridiana holds a bachelor's degree with Honors from Conservatorio de las Rosas under the guidance of her mentors Gellya Dubrova and Julián Martínez, a Master’s Degree from the Longy School of Music of Music of Bard College under the guidance of Gabriela Diaz. She has recently completed a Graduate Performance Diploma at the same institution as a recipient of the Lia and William Poorvu Endowed Scholar, on full scholarship studying under Karla Donehew-Perez, where Viridiana was honored with the Roman Totenberg Artistry Award in recognition of her academic and artistic excellence and audience engagement.
